Will Kylian Mbappe play tonight for Real Madrid vs Pachuca in FIFA Club World Cup 2025?

The Frenchman missed Los Blancos’ opening game of the competition.
When Real Madrid play Pachuca tonight in their next FIFA Club World Cup 2025 match, they will be looking to climb up to four points in Group H.
Pachuca are at the bottom of their division after losing 2-1 to Red Bull Salzburg in their most recent game, while Los Blancos are in second place after drawing 1-1 with Al-Hilal in their campaign opener.
Gonzalo Garcia gave Real Madrid the lead in the 34th minute of their competition opener against Al-Hilal. The Blue Waves star Ruben Neves tied the score late in the first half with a penalty kick. Neither club were able to score again in the match at Hard Rock Stadium.
Against Al-Hilal, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen made their Real Madrid debuts as starters. However, the team’s performance was lacklustre. They were without Kylian Mbappe, who was recently hospitalised for severe gastroenteritis.
Real Madrid are still seen as one of the favourites to win the tournament this summer. But a loss here would put them in a precarious position before their last Group H match against RB Salzburg.
Will Kylian Mbappe play tonight?
Mbappe will not play for Madrid since the Frenchman was admitted to the hospital on Thursday owing to an illness. Although he was subsequently released, he is not expected to play against Pachuca.
Coach Xabi Alonso said in a news conference on Saturday:
“He’s better.”
“Two days ago, he came back from the hospital. He’s recovering, and every day we’re more optimistic about getting him back for the last game against Salzburg [on Thursday].”
Kylian Mbappé is “better” as he recovers from gastroenteritis, according to Xabi Alonso. Real Madrid hope to have their leading man available for their final Club World Cup group match against RB Salzburg.
After being admitted to the hospital this week, Mbappé missed Wednesday’s match as Madrid drew 1-1. It was against Al Hilal in their opening Group H match.
The France international is still at the team’s training camp in Palm Beach, Florida. He has not accompanied the team to Charlotte, North Carolina, where they will play Pachuca in their second game on Sunday.
