The main event in tonight’s Premier League schedule is Liverpool’s crucial matchup with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils, who are currently third in the standings and on the verge of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League 2026-27, know that a victory over their fierce rivals will secure their place in the top competition in Europe for the upcoming season.
Liverpool need favours from other teams to qualify for the Champions League this weekend. So their standing in the top five isn’t quite as solid. A win would go a long way toward finishing the job, but a loss might make supporters anxious, as some difficult games are coming up.
When Manchester United play Liverpool this afternoon, Michael Carrick must decide whether to give Matheus Cunha an immediate recall to the lineup or not after the forward was not available during the 2-1 win over Brentford.
