Will Vinicius Jr & Kylian Mbappe play tonight for Real Madrid vs Al-Hilal in Club World Cup 2025?

Xabi Alonso will begin his stint tonight as Los Blancos’ coach.
When Real Madrid play Al-Hilal of the Saudi Pro League in tonight’s FIFA Club World Cup 2025 match at Hard Rock Stadium, they will formally begin the Xabi Alonso reign.
Despite winning the Intercontinental Cup and the UEFA Super Cup, Real Madrid’s 2024–25 season will be remembered as a failure because they lost to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final, the Spanish Super Cup final, and the LaLiga title race.
After the poor season, seasoned manager Carlo Ancelotti resigned from his position one year ahead of his contract expiration to take over as head coach of the Brazil national team.
After Ancelotti opted to end his successful tenure as manager, Alonso was quickly named as his replacement. Now his first job will be leading the team in the Club World Cup, managing many top stars. But will the key players, such as Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, play tonight?
Will Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe play tonight?
After missing Tuesday’s practice due to sickness, Kylian Mbappe is doubtful for the team’s inaugural Club World Cup 2025 match against Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia.
The team stated that Mbappe had been ill with a fever, and that a decision regarding his involvement would be made in the morning. Xabi Alonso, the recently hired manager, is scheduled to make his debut in the dugout tonight.
Since Mbappe is now the only recognised centre-forward in the group, Alonso faces a selection dilemma in the event of his possible absence.
Meanwhile, Vinicius could play as he was pictured in training, giving Alonso one of the best threats in attack available for the game tonight. The forward, who also participated in Brazil’s games during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, is fit to start.
Vinicius will be among the top players. Expect the fans to flock to the stadium to witness his magic on the pitch. Moreover, Alonso’s stint begins tonight against Al-Hilal.
