The Spanish manager is currently without a club.

If Ange Postecoglou leaves Tottenham Hotspur at the end of this season, Barcelona legend Xavi is the front-runner to take his place.

The 59-year-old Postecoglou has talked about feeling as though he is in “parallel worlds” because Spurs are in the final four of the UEFA Europa League and 16th in the Premier League.

However, many Spurs supporters have called for his dismissal due to their poor domestic performance, even though they have the chance to win in Europe.

Postecoglou’s team has the opportunity to win a trophy for the first time since the League Cup in 2008. They play Bodo/Glimt in their Europa League semi-final first leg tonight.

This competition provides a lifeline for Postecoglou to keep his job since it offers the possibility of a “back door” path into the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League. After a turbulent campaign, it wouldn’t be shocking if he left; nevertheless, at the end of this season.

If he does leave, the North Londoners are already lining up potential replacements, and Barcelona’s former star Xavi is in the running to become their next manager.

The Spanish manager is currently without a club after leaving Barcelona last season. He has been linked with many jobs, but so far, there aren’t any concrete links to any club.

It would be surprising to see if Xavi accepts the Spurs’ job. He has often been linked to a few Premier League clubs since leaving Barcelona.

As a player with Barcelona, Xavi won eight LaLiga titles and four Champions League trophies. In 2021, he rejoined the team as manager.

Prior to returning to his boyhood club, Xavi coached Al Saad in the Qatar Stars League after retiring as a player in 2019.

He led Barcelona to a league championship in 2022–2023. But after a string of poor performances, the Catalan powerhouses fired him in 2023.
