At 17 years and 240 days, Mora is also the youngest Mexican player on the grandest stage of them all.

Salomon Olembé made his debut on the biggest stage of football back in 1998. The Cameroon star stepped onto the field against Austria. He became one of the youngest players to do so.
He did not start, but later came in as a substitute for this side. The player made an immediate impact at 17 years and 185 days of age.

Femi Opabunmi is the youngest Nigerian player to score in the FIFA World Cup. He made his debut against England at 17 years 101 days. Opabunmi later found the net and etched his name in the history books.
He did make the headlines during that edition, but was never able to find his full potential due to his injuries.

Samuel Eto’o is another renowned name on the list. He is the second youngest player to play at FIFA’s flagship tournament. Eto’o made his debut at the 1998 edition of the World Cup for the Cameroon national football team.
Later on, he went on to become one of the most exceptional talents from his nation. His age during his debut on the world stage was recorded as 17 years 99 days.
