ZEE reveals FIFA World Cup 2026 subscription prices for fans in India

The flagship tournament is set to begin on June 11 (BST).

Almost all the nations have now unveiled the final list of players that they have included in the lineup to compete at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA.

The upcoming edition of the mega tournament is all set to begin on June 11. A total of 48 teams will be battling for the prestigious title. The World Cup final is all set to take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA. Alongside the high ticket pricing, FIFA also kept the pricing for securing the broadcasting rights very high.

For India, it was initially around $100 million. After the government and other major organisations refused to pay such high costs, the pricing was then brought down to $60 million. Zee Entertainment came in and secured the deal for around $30 million to $35 million, which is also one-third of the initial value set by FIFA.

Lionel Messi’s Argentina are the defending champions of the flagship trophy. France, Spain and England are currently the favourites to win the FIFA World Cup 2026. It is now going to be interesting to see their performances on the grandest stage of them all.

Prices for FIFA World Cup 2026 streaming plans by Zee

Zee Entertainment will now live-stream and broadcast the major FIFA events for the next few years. They have also announced that they are going to launch four new sports channels (Unite8 Sports 1, Unite8 Sports 1 HD, Unite8 Sports 2, and Unite8 Sports 2 HD) in order to provide a better viewing experience for fans.

The Zee 5 app and website will live-stream the FIFA World Cup 2026 for fans in India.

There are mainly two plans to watch the flagship tournament live in India. The Zee5 Premium 3-Month Plan (All Access + Sports) costs ₹ 799. In this, up to three devices are allowed to connect with one single account. It will also have ads.

There’s another subscription known as the Zee5 Premium Annual Plan, which costs ₹ 1,699. With this plan, fans will be able to use four devices at once. It is also going to provide an ad-free experience.
