Pau Cubarsi has established himself as one of the best young defenders in recent years. He has been a consistent starter for Spain in the tournament. He started on the side in their highly anticipated rivalry clash against Portugal.

Désiré Doué has been widely regarded as one of the most technically gifted youngsters in modern football. He made an appearance from the bench against Paraguay in the Round of 16. The forward was France‘s most electric, press-resistant attacking outlet against a stubborn Paraguay low block.

Doué’s explosive dribbles directly shattered the defensive deadlock late in the game, winning the decisive penalty that Kylian Mbappé converted to secure a 1-0 victory.

2. Ayyoub Bouaddi (Morocco)

Ayyoub Bouaddi undoubtedly has been the biggest revelation of the newest edition. The player has been a consistent starter for Morocco in the double pivot that controls the tempo of the game. He once again started in Morocco’s 3-0 win against Canada.

The player made two passes into the final third and made four crucial defensive contributions.
