Formula 1: Updated F1 Australian GP 2023 timings

Red Bull teammates Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have could once again battle for the top two positions.

Coming out of the gulf, Melbourne's Albert Park hosts the third round of this season's Formula 1 as we gear up for the Australian Grand Prix (Australian GP). By now it's quite clear that there is no matching the Red Bulls. Aston Martin have shown pace but not enough to topple the Austrian constructors. Mercedes' struggles continue while Ferrari is yet to show itself to the fullest.

Australian GP could be crucial in determining the pecking order of the grid. This is also a special race for the McLaren rookie Oscar Piastri but looking at the conditions of the MCL36, it looks unlikely that he could pull off something special for his home fans.

The new layout of Albert Park, which features as many as four DRS zones, will be in force this year. Going by the DRS data so far, Haas, Red Bull and McLaren have benefitted the most. Whereas Aston Martin, Mercedes and McLaren have been languishing. The four DRS zone across the 5.303 km circuit could make a difference or two.
