F1 Singapore GP: List of all race winners over the years
Last year’s Singapore Grand Prix was won by Carlos Sainz
The Singapore Grand Prix has been a thrilling spectacle ever since it was held in 2008.
Originally Singapore GP used to take place at Thomson Road from 1966 to 1973, before it returned to the calendar in 2008 at Marina Bay. However, those initial races were part of the Formula Libre calendar. At that time Fernando Alonso won the inaugural race during Singapore GP 2008 after its renewal.
The race was a particularly significant one as it marked the 800th Formula One World Championship race since the series began in 1950. Another fun fact about the race was that it was the first-ever Formula One race that took place at night.
Last year’s Singapore Grand Prix was won by Carlos Sainz, where Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton stood at P2 and P3 respectively. It is worth noting that it was the only race in 2023 that wasn’t won by Red Bull.
Since its first race at Marina Bay, the circuit has been known for deploying a safety car in every race. So as of 2023, a total of 24 safety cars have been deployed.
Starting in 2008, the race has always been held on the Marina Bay Street Circuit, but got cancelled in 2020 and 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following is the list of all winners that have won the Singapore Grand Prix in the past years.
