F1 Singapore GP 2024: Updated schedule and timings

A night race like no other
Singapore GP is back, and it’s always one of the highlights of the Formula 1 season! There’s something magical about watching these ultra-powerful machines tear through the Marina Bay streets, with the city skyline glittering in the background.
The 2024 race will be the 18th round of the season, with only seven races left after Singapore – and three sprint races yet to come.
This season’s stakes are higher than ever as McLaren continues with its unexpected comeback in the game, especially after the upgrade brought to the McLaren cars. Oscar Piastri’s captivating race at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix produced another McLaren star to beat Charles Leclerc.
However, it was an unfortunate weekend for Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz at the Azerbaijan GP. Perez had just passed Leclerc and was going into lap 50 of 51. But while he was moving through straight towards turn 3, Sainz and Perez made contact which forced both of their cars to crash into the wall.
Although it is not yet clear who was at fault, Checo’s frustration and anger were evident through the radio.
Where is the Singapore Grand Prix?
Marina Bay is a 5.063 km long circuit, with 23 corners with plenty of bumpy street surface.
This makes Marina Bay Circuit the most technical track offered by Formula 1. Ever since its debut, Singapore GP has given us some of the most memorable moments.
One of the track’s most unique features was the “Singapore Sling”, a section which was considered one of the most exciting parts of the circuit. Unfortunately, it was later removed from the circuit due to safety concerns.
The corner also managed to catch great drivers like Kimi Räikkönen, Adrian Sutil, and Kamui Kobayashi, making it one of the most thrilling but tricky turns to handle.
