British driver Arvid Lindblad recently became one of the youngest racers in Formula 1‘s history to secure a point. Over the years, other drivers have also demonstrated their racing prowess in their rookie seasons by competing closely with seasoned stars and have gone on to become top names in the circuit.

5. Oliver Bearman: 18 years, 10 months, 1 day

British driver Oliver Bearman finished seventh at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, racing for Ferrari, securing six points. In the race, he finished above the names of Lando Norris (8th), Lewis Hamilton (9th), and more. Nevertheless, the finish turned out to be one of Bearman’s best performances to date.

4. Lance Stroll: 18 years, 7 months, 13 days

Racing for Williams, Lance Stroll finished ninth at the 2017 Canadian Grand Prix, becoming one of the youngest racers in history to secure a point in F1. Stroll displayed resistance and showed his racing prowess at the right moment after starting from the 17th grid.

However, the Canadian driver has not been consistent with his performances in the circuit. He currently drives for Aston Martin Aramco in F1.

3. Arvid Lindblad: 18 years, 7 months

Arvid Lindblad made his F1 debut at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix for Racing Bulls, finishing 8th and securing 4 points.

Lindblad has also become the youngest British driver to ever race in F1. Additionally, the 18-year-old is also the only rookie in the circuit this season. On a few occasions, Lindblad also went neck-and-neck against the likes of seven-time World champion Lewis Hamilton and defending champion Lando Norris

Andrea Kimi Antonelli replaced F1 veteran Lewis Hamilton in his rookie year at Mercedes in 2025 as the latter joined Ferrari. In his rookie year, Antonelli did a commendable job, securing three podiums and accumulating 150 points.

One of the major highlights from his season came in his debut race, the 2025 Australian Grand Prix, where he finished fourth and secured 12 points. Despite a poor display in the qualifying round and rain, the Italian driver managed a top-five finish.

Max Verstappen is the youngest driver in F1 history to score a point. The Dutch driver made the record during the 2015 Malaysian Grand Prix, where he finished seventh with Toro Rosso-Renault.

Verstappen is also the only driver on the list to score a point in F1 before turning 18. The Grand Prix was won by Sebastian Vettel for Ferrari, while Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg finished second and third, respectively.
