BGMS Playoffs Day 1: Match report, Leaderboard and road to finals

8Bit topped the table with 43 points.

The pursuit of qualification for the Grand Finals of BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) commenced, with the team 8bit taking a commanding lead of a total of 43 points on the first day.

In the event, teams ranked from fifth to twentieth in the League Stage compete in a Battle Round TPP mode with six matches.

Velocity Gaming had an excellent start to the day, winning with 6 points. Enigma Gaming performed exceptionally well on the Sanhok map. At the end of Day 1, Team 8Bit won the last match and took the top spot in the BGMS (Playoffs) Points Table.

Match 1 – Erangel

In the first Erangel match, Medal Esports delivered a strong performance, earning a total of 25 points, comprising 12 placement points and 13 finish points. Numen Gaming trailed closely in second place with 21 points, made up of 10 placement points and 11 finish points. Despite securing the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, Velocity Gaming placed third with 21 points, boosted by 15 placement points and 6 finish points.

Match 2- Sanhok

Team 8bit showed their strength by taking the top spot with 18 points – 10 for their placement and 8 for their finishes. OR Esports came in second with 17 points, 8 for placement and 9 for finishes. However, despite winning the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, Enigma Gaming finished third with 17 points, primarily due to their 15 placement points and 2 finish points.

Match 3 – Erangel 

In the final match of BGMS Season 2 Playoffs Day 1 on Miramar, God’s Reign and Team 8bit both scored 25 points. God’s Reign had 12 placement points and 13 finish points, while Team 8bit secured a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner with 15 placement points and 10 finish points. WSB Gaming took third place with 14 points, including 10 placement points and 4 finish points.

Leaderboard BGMS Playoffs Day 1

The top 12 squads of the Final Scoreboard Playoffs will advance to the Grand Finals, while the four lowest-ranked teams will receive ₹1.5 lakhs each. Gladiator Esports, narrowly missing direct qualification, currently finds themselves in the bottom four. On the other hand, Team 8Bit has had an outstanding first day and appears to be on the path to securing their spot in the Finals.
