One of the most anticipated games from Naked Rain and NetEase, Ananta, now has an official release date. At Gamescom 2026 ONL, fans got to see a new gameplay story trailer for the game and an official release date.
This is an upcoming free-to-play urban open-world action RPG that will release on January 15, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, Android and iOS.

New trailer showcases two massive cities
In the latest gameplay story trailer, fans got to see the two primary locations: Nova City and Lingyun City. Both of these cities have vibrant urban environments that are packed with so many activities, missions and many secrets.
In Ananta, players will take the role of A.C.D. agents and their mission is to protect the cities while also investigating the mysterious events hidden under the urban cities.
Along with the combat, players can also focus on many side activities, free roam, travel and movement options with skateboards, bicycles, and parkour.
Conclusion
Fans are pretty excited for this game as its combat is also a mix of Sleeping Dogs and has some elements from Insomniac’s Spider-Man games.
The game also seems to have some crazy story cinematics and players will be able to build their own squad in Ananta.
This game was officially announced in 2023 as Project Mugen and the developers renamed it to Ananta in 2024. Currently, a playable demo is available for Gamescom 2026 attendees.
