Ubisoft has officially revealed the PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro enhancements that will be available for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.
This highly anticipated remake will be getting visual and performance upgrades for these consoles. The game is powered by Ubisoft’s latest Anvil Engine.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced PS5 graphics mode
If you are playing this game on PlayStation 5, you can select between three modes and each mode will run at upscaled 2160p (4K) resolution.:
Performance mode
- 60 FPS
- Standard Ray Tracing
Balanced mode
- 40 FPS
- Extended Ray Tracing
Fidelity Mode
- 30 FPS
- Extended Ray Tracing
The game also supports HDR, Dolby Atmos and DualSense haptic feedback. This will allow players to experience a more immersive combat, naval exploration & fighting. The Ray-Traced Global Illumination will also be enabled across every graphical mode on PS5.

PS5 Pro will offer enhanced visual quality for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced
With more powerful ray tracing and image reconstruction technologies, you will get an amazing experience on PS5 Pro.
Ray-Traced Specular Reflections are supported on every graphical mode. You can experience more realistic reflections across water surfaces, interiors, and the game’s tropical environments.
- Performance: 60 FPS with Extended Ray Tracing
- Balanced: 40 FPS with Extended Ray Tracing
- Fidelity: 30 FPS with Extended Ray Tracing
There is also an exclusive feature that only the PS5 Pro provides for this remake and that is strand-based hair rendering.
Ubisoft is using individual hair strand simulation, which creates more realistic hairstyles.
The upgraded hair system will be used by Edward Kenway during the game, while crowd characters will receive the upgraded hair in Fidelity mode. Mainly, the enhanced hair rendering will help all characters with their cinematics, independent of the graphics mode they are using.
