Some record-breaking games are mentioned on this list

In 2023, gamers saw many great games, as well as many Game of the Year contenders. This year has been the same, and there are still four months left, but we already have gotten so many top video games that blew our minds.

In this article, we will talk about the top five games of 2024 so far, according to us.

5. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

The Final Fantasy series has always been one of the best when it comes to games, and they did the same with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Although it is not perfect, this game still delivers and is a contender to win the GOTY.

The world-building and story are brilliant like they have always been, but the most fun part is the combat. The party combo attacks and skills are just icing on the cake. I would rate this game an 8/10, and it is available to play only on PS5 for now. We can anticipate the game’s release on Steam soon for PC gamers.

4. Black Myth: Wukong

The newly released game that has broken the records of Steam, Black Myth: Wukong, is on the list. Most of the fans and gamers believe that this might win the Game of the Year if Elden Ring DLC doesn’t win it.

This was the first game that was made by Game Science Studio, and they nailed it. The story is based on Journey to the West, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature.

Although it’s not an open-world RPG or Souls-like game, this still gives the feel of them with a great combat system with fighting Boss battles back to back. Personally, I would rate this game 8/10, and you can play this on your PC and PS5.

3. Helldivers 2

Next on the list is Helldivers 2, and for many good reasons. A third-person shooting game with lots of guns, actions, robots, and aliens and full of sci-fi actions across the different planets. This reminds me of the classic Halo games, and the best part is to let the game pass and play with your friends on the weekend.

I am not a big fan of sci-fi settings, but this game is surely entertaining to play. I would rate this 8.5/10, and it is available to play on PC and PS5. Sorry X Box fans, you have to play this game on your system or you can buy a Play Station 5.

2. Dragon’s Dogma 2

I have always been a sucker for open-world RPG games, and Dragon’s Dogma 2 brings out the same excitement and fun while you play the game. It was released 12 years after the first game, and its plot and story are very similar to the first game.

The things that make this game the best are the world-building, combat, and fights. This game deserves a 9/10 rating and is second on my list. The game is available to play on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

1. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

Even though this was the DLC, many gamers and fans are considering Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree to win the Game of the Year this time.

If this happens, then it might create a history where a DLC wins a GOTY. This DLC adds more to the storylines and more hard-level bosses. The game deserves a 10/10 rating, and you can play it on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
