The stage is set for The Grind, a pivotal qualifier leading to BGIS 2024, scheduled to commence on April 4th with an impressive lineup of 256 teams. Over four intense weeks, these teams will vie for supremacy, aiming to secure a coveted spot among the top 64 teams advancing to the main event. With a colossal prize pool of ₹2 crore, anticipation for the fierce competition runs high.

Having been a cornerstone of the India Series for two consecutive editions, The Grind welcomes experienced and renowned teams from across the nation to clash against each other. Notably, Krafton’s initiative to open registrations for underdog teams offers a direct entry into the initial stages of BGIS 2024, further enriching the competitive landscape.

Format:

The tournament kicks off with 256 teams randomly seeded into 16 groups for the first two weeks of The Grind. Each week witnesses eight groups engaging in three matches, followed by the remaining eight groups in the subsequent week. Following the initial phase, teams are reshuffled into 16 groups for the final two weeks, where each team competes in three matches.

Schedule:

  • Week 1: April 4th to 7th
  • Week 2: April 11th to 14th
  • Week 3: April 18th to 21st
  • Week 4: April 25th to 28th

Qualification scenarios based on standings:

Teams accumulate points over the four weeks, delineating their overall standings. The top 16 teams clinch direct slots in the fourth round of the BGIS 2024, while teams ranked 17th to 32nd progress to the third round, and those placed 33rd to 64th move to the second round, intensifying the competition at every level.

Where to watch:

Audiences can immerse themselves in the adrenaline-fueled action live on Krafton Exports India’s YouTube channel at 3:30 pm. Each day features six matches in battle royale mode across four BGMI maps: Erangel, Sanhok, Miramar, and Vikendi. The tournament adopts a 10-point scoring structure throughout, promising captivating gameplay and thrilling encounters.
