Xbox Games Showcase on June 8, 2025, was really amazing and the best thing was the reveal of Call of Duty Black Ops 7.

New Chapter for Call of Duty Black Ops 7
Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is the series’ first successive release, following Activision’s experiment with Modern Warfare 2 (2022) and Modern Warfare 3 (2023).
The campaign continues from Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6, moving the chronology to 2035.
David Mason, son of the late Alex Mason, leads a team against an unknown enemy in this near-futuristic environment. The plot promises conspiracies, psychological warfare, and explosive action.

Full Call of Duty experience
Matt Cox, Call of Duty’s General Manager, teased: “It delivers the full Call of Duty package for our players, and we can’t wait to show the community more.”
While it is unlikely to resurrect the extreme futuristic movement of Black Ops 4 (set in the 2040s), reports say it may expand on Black Ops 6’s omnimovement system, possibly including wall-running, as hinted at in game files following a recent update.
The early idea that Black Ops 7 might be an expansion to the Black Ops 6 campaign has been officially disproved. This is a single title that provides a full experience with fresh material.
No release date has been confirmed for the reveal, however, we can expect Call of Duty Black Ops 7 to release later this year.
