Fans want a better UI
The early access for Civilization 7 has finally started for the fans and players who have ordered the Deluxe and Founderâs Edition. As gamers immersed themselves in the turn-based strategy masterpiece, they discovered several flaws, one of which was the user interface.
Developer Firaxis is already hard at work answering community comments to improve the experience for years to come. Letâs check out more details in this article.
Firaxis listens to the Community
In a recent update, Firaxis has shared some views about its commitment to long-term support for Civilization 7. They stated, âWe will support Civilization VII for years to come, and your feedback remains critical in helping us grow and build the future of Civ.â
This indicates that they are aware of all the negative reactions they are receiving from the fans and will work on that to improve it.

Top Priority: UI Enhancements
Firaxis is focusing its efforts on the user interface (UI). The studio is working to make interactions more intuitive, increase map readability, and refine formatting. These updates attempt to provide a more seamless, immersive experience for players navigating the complexity of civilization development.
The current UI is really ugly, messy and looks like a mobile game. Even Shroud was checking out the game yesterday on his stream where he also didnât like the UI of the game.
Community-Requested features on the Horizon
Firaxis also informed that they will be adding some features based on popular demands.
- Hot Seat Multiplayer: A shared gaming experience.
- Customizable Names: Name your cities and faiths.
- Expanded Multiplayer Options: Teams and complete player numbers are now available.
- More Map Types: To provide variety in gameplay experiences.
Quality-of-Life fixes in Civilization 7
This will be another focus for Firaxis in Civilization 7:
- UI Changes: To improve usability.
- AI Balance: Ensures hard yet fair gameplay.
- Diplomacy and crises involve fine-tuning contacts and events.
- Bug Fixes: To improve overall stability.
