Color of Lumina and Chroma catalyst
One of the best turn-based RPGs of this year, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is finally out on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
As the players explore a Belle Époque-inspired world, you’ll collect Colour of Lumina and Chroma Catalyst early on.
But what are these items and how can you use them currently? In this guide, we will explain about Lumina and Chroma Catalyst.
What are Colour of Lumina and Chroma Catalyst? Where to use them?
Until you meet The Curator in Clair Obscur Expedition 33, you won’t be able to use these items.
He is a mysterious character who will join your party after the Flying Waters area (the second region after Spring Meadows).
To reach The Curator, navigate the open-world map between areas, set up camp with the d-pad, then proceed to the cave on the left side of the cliff. Speak with the Curator and select the “Upgrade Expedition Resources” option.
Chroma Catalyst:
These items come in a variety of rarities and are used to improve your weapons.
Different weapons begin at different levels (e.g., level 1 or 3), and Chroma Catalysts enable you to overcome these thresholds, increasing their stats and effectiveness.
You can obtain them as purple ground loot, fight prizes, or by purchasing from merchants.
Colour of Lumina:
Each item used boosts a character’s Lumina Points by one. This allows you to equip Lumina Abilities, which are passive effects unlocked by mastering Pictos (after four battles).
More LP means more passives, such as increased AP on dodges, without taking up Picto slots. You can also gain one Lumina Point for each character level up.

How to find them?
Both of these items are scattered throughout the game. You have to explore the map, side paths and defeat the enemies.
Check the loot and see if there are any white or purple growing parts. Boss confrontations, such as the Chromatic Lancelier in Spring Meadows, frequently drop them, and merchants in places like Gestral Village offer limited supplies.
Look for grappling spots or ledges (controller haptics will rumble) to discover hidden materials.
These items are pretty important, which will help you to make your weapons stronger, enhance your character build and provide a strategic advantage during battle.
