Ghost of Yotei release date announced: Pre-order, price, edition & more

Sucker Punch Production and Sony has just announced that the Ghost of Yotei will be releasing on October 2, 2025. It will be exclusive to PS5 for now.

Senior Communications Manager Andrew Goldfarb revealed that this PS5 exclusive has a new hero, Atsu, and a thrilling story of retribution set in 1603 Ezo (modern-day Hokkaido).

Ghost of Yotei release date and new trailer highlights

The fans and gamers are pretty excited as Ghost of Yotei will be releasing on October 2, 2025. This has confirmed that there is no delay in the release.

This game will be exclusive to PS5 and PS5 Pro. According to Sucker Punch and PlayStation Blog, the game is set 16 years after the Yōtei Six gang killed Atsu’s family and left her pinned to a burning ginkgo tree.

The trailer reveals Atsu’s dedication and her desire to take revenge and hunt down the culprits: The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito.

She is armed with her father’s katana and her revenge journey will include allies, new alliances and will showcase deeper purpose in Ezo’s wild landscapes.

The open environment provides greater freedom than Ghost of Tsushima, allowing you to prioritize which Yōtei Six member to pursue first.

Explore vast pastures and cold tundras, claim bounties, practice with weapon sensei, and relax around campfires under starry sky. New mechanisms, like as glimpses into Atsu’s background, enrich the plot.

Pre-order, price details and editions

The pre-orders for Ghost of Yotei will start from May 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time (10:00 AM ET in the US). It will be available in three different editions:

• Standard Edition ($69.99 USD / £69.99 / €79.99 / ¥8,980): Includes the base game.
• Digital Deluxe Edition ($79.99 USD / £79.99 / €89.99 / ¥9,980): Features the game, The Snake’s armor set, alternate armor dye, unique horse color, saddle dye, a gold Sword Kit, a Charm, and early Traveler’s Maps for skill upgrades.
• Collector’s Edition (price TBD): Available at direct.playstation.com or select retailers, this edition includes all Digital Deluxe items, a digital copy, a 6.8 x 5 x 5.9-inch resin Ghost mask with stand, a 71-inch cotton-blend sash with Yōtei Six names, a 3 x 3-inch twin wolves Tsuba with stand, a Zeni Hajiki coin pouch, a papercraft ginkgo tree with wolf, and four 5 x 7-inch art cards.

If you pre-order any edition, you will get a unique in-game mask and seven PSN avatars featuring Atsu and the Yōtei Six.
