The pre-load for this game depends on which edition you have purchased. There are two editions: Standard and Deluxe. Here are both pre-load dates:

• Standard Edition: January 28, 2026

Players that pre-order a digital copy will be able to download the game early, with the most recent version pre-installed. However, a minor update may be published closer to early access on January 27, 2026, or the full launch on January 30, 2026.

Code Vein 2 download size on PS5 is around 59.180 GB of storage (Version 01.001.000). The original first title, Code Vein, only had a download size of around 33.6 GB on PS4.

So, you can see there has been a major increase in the size, but it is still the normal size for today’s game. The increase in size is largely due to improved visuals, expanded environments, and more detailed character models designed for current-generation hardware.
