Still no release date revealed yet!
Control Resonant is probably one of the most highly anticipated games of this year for many fans and gamers. This time, Remedy Entertainment is shifting the tone towards relentless aggression.
Players will be stepping into the shoes of Dylan Faden, Jesse’s brother. This time, you have to be more aggressive and engage in close combat. According to Remedy’s Miika Huttunen, “aggression fuels power,” and this is the heart of the combat design.
The Aberrant and its forms in Control Resonant
The main protagonist, Dylan, weilds a melee-focused weapon known as the Aberrant. When you attack enemies with it, it recharges your combat abilities.
This allows players to stun foes and execute them for a temporary melee damage boost. Players can repeat the loop constantly: strike, stun, execute, and repeat.
This weapon features both primary and secondary forms, each offering unique skills. One such example is that a player can attack an opponent immediately after evading them, sending them flying into the air. Get Combo Enders and you will be able to execute fatal finishing blows.

Control Resonant will have deep RPG customization
First of all, this game is not going to be soulslike. Players can also build Dylan in multiple ways. You can either build him into a more heavy close-range playstyle or go for a strategic approach using summons like Mold Turrets.
These turrets attack enemies independently and also apply status effects. Also, defeating powerful bosses called Resonants unlocks new abilities.
For example, one ability is called Seekers, which summons volatile telekinetic entities that attack or can be hurled to deal massive damage.
Customization is taken further in the Gap, a strange, hallucinatory world that is associated with the psyche of Dylan.
It is at this place that the players can improve their skills and acquire Talents that enhance the synergy of the melee attacks and powers. Complex stat analysis can enable players to easily understand the performance of their builds.
Another amazing part is that everything cannot be unlocked in just one single playthrough. This will provide players with replayability and possibly a New Game Plus mode.
For now, Control Resonant doesn’t have an exact release date, but it will be released this year on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
