This Mecha Dragon boss looks pretty amazing

Pearl Abyss recently revealed the new Crimson Desert gameplay on IGN first gameplay, where we could see our protagonist, Kliff, fighting against a Mecha Dragon boss.

This is a colossal mechanical dragon boss, Golden Star, that can spit fire tornadoes, missile barrages and wreak havoc down. Let’s check out the gameplay and more details about it in this article.

Crimson Desert gameplay highlights

This new gameplay was uploaded yesterday on IGN and the whole gameplay length is around 9:40 minutes. The main character, Kliff, is on the hunt for Golden Star’s core to cripple a massive flying fortress threatening Pywel.

When he arrived in the area, we could see the huge, menacing golden Mecha Dragon with its eyes glowing. This monster looks pretty close to a real dragon.

The fight starts and the Mecha Dragon is spewing the fire tornadoes and barrages all around the stage. Kliff was seen strategically dodging and counterattacking at the Mecha Dragon’s weak spots.

After the dragon’s health fell to a very low level, he started to flee and we see the aerial chase with the Mecha Dragon. Kliff’s own dragon was also following them in a stunning chase. It was an amazing cinematic scene, but sadly, that’s where the Crimson Desert gameplay video ended.

Final Thoughts

So far, every Crimson Desert gameplay has been incredible and this one was literally on another level. This game has so many things and is shaping up to be one of the best open-world action RPG games of 2026. It will release on March 19, 2025, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
