During the PlayStation State of Play, KOEI TECMO America and Team NINJA officially announced that Dead or Alive 6 Last Round will launch on June 25, 2026, for modern consoles. Also, they have announced that the development of a new game has already begun for this franchise.

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round details
This is the complete version of Dead or Alive 6, which has previously sold more than 900,000 copies worldwide and has achieved over 8 million downloads through its free-to-play edition.
The new updated release will also include the original roster of 24 fighters, with five additional characters previously released as DLC: Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki.
When it comes to costumes, several fan favourite characters: Kasumi, Marie Rose and more will receive new costumes. This is inspired by Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge and Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation.
New features and improvements
One of the most notable features of Last Round is a brand-new Photo Mode. Players can change character poses, camera angles, and positions during fights to snap personalized screenshots, adding a creative aspect to standard gameplay.
Dead or Alive 6 Last Round has also been optimized for current-generation hardware. This will provide improved performance and visuals.
If you already own Dead or Alive 6, you will be able to transfer the DLC costumes, premium tickets and save data in the new version.
Free-to-play version available at launch
Dead or Alive 6 Last Round Core Fighters is also going to be available as a free-to-play option for players. At launch, you can use Kasumi, Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO.
You can access online features like DOA Quest, DOA Central, and Photo Mode. The developers have also confirmed the post-launch updates, with additional costumes and characters that are scheduled to arrive this year.
