Dante returns

The fans have been waiting so long for the Devil May Cry animated series, which was announced back in September 2023. Now during Geeked Week 2024, Netflix finally revealed the new updates along with the trailer for the series.

One of the best games made by Capcom will be coming next year in more anime style. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Release Date and Trailer for Devil May Cry Animated Series

The Devil May Cry animated series is produced by Studio Mir and will be released in April 2025. Fans would be able to watch the series only on Netflix. It is expected that the first season will consist of 8 episodes.

Fans are also happy with the voice cast, as Johnny Yong Vosch, who has voiced Dante in Devil May Cry 4 and Devil May Cry 5, will be cast as Dante once again.

The teaser trailer looks fantastic and it appears that they have adapted many things from the manga also. It is filled with action and monsters, but the only thing the trailer is missing is Vergil.

The game previously had an anime series produced by Madhouse in 2007 which can be watched on the Crunchyroll platform.

Know more about the game

The official Devil May Cry game description according to Steam:

“The Dante of DmC is a young man who has no respect for authority or indeed society in general. Dante knows that he is not human, but also that he is not like the demons that have tormented him throughout his life. Caught between worlds, he feels like an outcast.

Thanks to his twin brother Vergil, leader of the anti-establishment group called “The Order”, Dante is now discovering and coming to terms with what it means to be the child of a demon and an angel. This split personality has a real impact on gameplay with Dante being able to call upon angel and demon abilities at will, transforming his Rebellion sword on the fly to dramatically affect both combat and movement.”
