Will GTA 6 have online or multiplayer at launch?

According to the Rockstar Games information, GTA 6 is not going to include the Online or multiplayer mode at the launch of the game.

The game will release on November 19, 2026 and will focus on the single-player experience entirely on Jason and Lucia’s story.

This choice could come as a surprise for those hoping for a completely new version of Grand Theft Auto Online to go alongside GTA VI. It is based on an approach, however, that the developer has already used.

When will GTA VI Online launch?

For now, Rockstar Games has not confirmed or announced anything related to GTA Online. However, there is no doubt that we will get an Online multiplayer mode in the game, just like the previous titles.

When GTA 5 was launched in 2013, Grand Theft Auto Online was not available at the launch. It was released after a few weeks, when the players had already explored the full story and game.

This similar approach was also adapted with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Redemption Online as well. There is no doubt that Rockstar will approach with the same method with GTA VI.

For now, we can expect Grand Theft Auto Online to become available in December or January 2027.
