The newest MMO RPG from Funcom, Dune Awakening, is going strong since its launch and fans are enjoying their Arrakis journey in the game.

However, for now, they need to take a short break as the developers have announced that the servers will be going into maintenance on July 2, 2025. Let’s find out more in this article.

Dune Awakening server maintenance & downtime will start from July 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM CEST/ 1:30 PM IST.

According to developers, the patch notes will bring bug fixes, improvements, and balancing changes.

Fans and players can expect the downtime to last for 90 minutes. After that, you will be able to jump right back into the action once again.

The servers are now coming back online and patch notes are available to read on official website.

What to expect?

For now, the developers have not yet revealed the changes or patch notes for the game. However, many fans have raised their voice in the comments section.

Some of them want developers to fix the duping bugs. It is not enough to restrict waves; they will continue to occur.

Put the resources into tackling the duplication issue, then focus on the hackers breaking into bases over barriers.

Some of them have also faced some cheaters in the game and recently, Dune Awakening is facing a sharp decline in the player counts on Steam.

Many players have also suggested the PvP servers and how PvP fights are not that interesting.

There is also an inventory glitch that causes things to disappear but still take up space, and only relogging makes it show up again (which is getting aggravating), even then, it is not a “real” item, and you have to toss it away.

These are some issues which has been shown by the fans and we hope that the developers will fix them soon.
