Football fans and gamers are excited as EA Sports prepares to unveil EA FC 26 this Wednesday, July 16, 2025, according to leaks.

The leaks have also revealed that Jude Bellingham & Jamal Musiala will grace the cover along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the Ultimate Edition. Let’s find out more details in this article.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic leads the charge for EA FC 26

EA Sports has finally made it possible and brought the retired Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic to grace the cover for the Ultimate Edition.

This will honor his remarkable career at Barcelona, PSG, Inter Milan, and Ajax. He is also going to join as an Icon item.

AC Milan is not featured as EA Sports does not have a partnership with the club. In the Ultimate Edition cover, we can also see the EA FC 26 menu on Zlatan’s computer, which is a good easter egg.

Alex Morgan can be seen on the menu, which suggests that she might be another Icon item in the game. There are also multiple references for the Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazário.

On the other hand, the leaks suggest that Real Madrid and Bayern Munich star Jude Bellingham & Jamal Musiala will be on the cover of the Standard Edition.

It is expected that EA Sports is going to reveal EA FC 26 on July 16, 2025. The game will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, Switch 2 and PC.

Final Thoughts

Last year, EA FC 25 had a pretty good launch with solid player engagement; however, EA wasn’t able to retain the player base due to constant gameplay issues and bugs.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson addressed this in February, describing a “high-quality launch” with more pre-orders and revenue.

However, the game did poorly monetarily due to two fundamental factors: fewer new players entering (“soft top-of-funnel acquisition”) and faster player drop-off (“lapsed engagement”).

EA is determined to focus on EA FC 26 and they are going to focus more on the gameplay this time.
