EA Sports has finally revealed EA FC 27, which is all set to launch on September 25, 2026. For the first time in the franchise, we will be getting an open-world mode, “The Grounds.”
The Grounds will have an online hub that’s still being introduced, gameplay enhancements and improvements to Career Mode, with FC 27 having one of the most significant overhauls in the series. Let’s check out more details in this article.
Release date & early access for EA FC 27
EA Sports has confirmed that FC 27 will officially launch on September 25, 2026. Players who purchase the Ultimate Edition and Ultimate Plus Edition will receive early access and can play the game starting from September 18, 2026.

This time, the game will have three editions:
- Standard Edition – $69.99
- Ultimate Edition – $99.99
- Ultimate Plus Edition – $149.99

New features & gameplay updates
The biggest and most anticipated feature is ‘The Grounds.’ It is a revolutionary new online social experience that blends various game modes into one experience, The Grounds.
Players will have opportunities to access new areas, join in unique events and interact with Clubs’ development seamlessly.
EA FC 27 gameplay is also receiving several improvements. The developers have worked on defending AI to create tighter defensive play. Attackers are also getting smarter, making smart runs to avoid offside traps.
One-two passes will become faster, creating a more fluid attack. They are also adding a 2-Phase Corner Kick system that will allow players to position teammates and create a custom run before delivering the cross.
Career mode will receive a big update with a Transfer Overhaul and the introduction of Dynamic Overall Ratings.
This will allow players to increase or decrease the player ratings based on form, performance and development.

FC 27 will officially launch on September 25, 2026, with early access available for Ultimate Edition and Ultimate Plus Edition owners.
