EA FC 27 Playstyles overhaul, PlayStyle+ cap reduced, major nerfs & more

EA Sports has finally revealed the EA FC 27 gameplay deep dive and there are some big changes that has been made for Ultimate Team by rebalancing the PlayStyles system.

Maximum PlayStyle+ Limit reduced in EA FC 27
According to reliable leaker Fut Sheriff, the players’ cards are going to be limited to three PlayStyle+ abilities. There were five in FC 26.
What did they change? The adjustment is meant to make the game less dominated by the late game by cards with UTeams.
Many endgame promo cards in FC 26 had five PlayStyle+ abilities, which meant it was pretty strong compared to normal cards and thus weren’t competitive.
Although the traits have been reduced, it can still provide a major advantage.
No new PlayStyle for EA FC 27
EA Sports has also confirmed that there will be no new playstyles that will be introduced in FC 27. Instead, the developers are focusing on refining the existing system.
Popular PlayStyles major nerf
Most of the frequently used PlayStyles have been rebalanced. Here are some of the confirmed nerfs:
- Finesse Shot
- Technical Dribbler
- Intercept
- Rapid
- Quick Step
- Pinged Pass
- Tiki Taka
- Jockey
- Precision Header
- Low Driven
These adjustments will reduce the gap between Playstyles and base players’ attributes. Now, the players will not have to depend on the playstyles; instead, the main focus will be Pace, Passing, Shooting, Dribbling, and Defending.
What is the maximum number of PlayStyle+ abilities in EA FC 27?
According to leaks, player cards can have a maximum of three PlayStyle+ abilities, down from five in EA FC 26.
Are there any new PlayStyles in EA FC 27?
No. EA Sports has confirmed that FC 27 will not introduce any new PlayStyles and will instead focus on balancing the existing ones.
