No more microtransactions in Dynasty and Road to Glory modes

EA Sports has now officially removed paid progression microtransactions from College Football 27’s Dynasty and Road to Glory modes. They were heavily criticised and received massive backlash from the creators, community and fans.

This decision was made after the #CFBPlayDontPay movement gained huge momentum on social media. The company acknowledged that it missed the mark with this decision.

EA Sports reverses its decision

In an official statement made on Friday, EA admitted that introducing paid progression in the game’s offline mode did not deliver the experience that players needed.

According to them, this feature was only designed to give them more options rather than having a normal progression.

But after listening and reading the community feedback, they have decided to remove all paid progression options from Road to Glory and Online Dynasty.

It was also recommended that players who had already bought College Points use them before the update was released, as they would no longer be possible to use in either mode upon the elimination of the function.

Many big names and content creators started the #CFBPlayDontPay campaign, which quickly climbed to the top 10 trending topics in the United States.

EA Sports also responded quickly and reversed their decision by listening to community and fans’ feedback.

Now, players can enjoy Dynasty and Road to Glory without any paid progression.
