The new Elder Scrolls is still years away from launch

There is no doubt that the fans and gamers are patiently waiting for Elder Scrolls 6, which still does not have a release timeline. Now, according to an insider, Bethesda might release Fallout Remaster before the new Elder Scrolls.

Jez Corden, who is pretty well-known, was sharing Microsoft Xbox and Xbox Studios related information has shared some interesting information in his latest podcast. Let’s check out some more details in this article.

Elder Scrolls 6 may not launch until 2028 or 2029

It was in 2018 when Bethesda announced the development of the new Elder Scrolls game. Over the years, the fans have only received a very few updates on the game.

However, during a recent Xbox Two podcast, Jez Corden has claimed that this game “remains quite far” from the release.

According to him, Bethesda is still years away from completing this project, which makes a 2028 or 2029 launch scenario most likely the case.

If this news is accurate, then it is pretty clear that this game might arrive during the last years of the current generation hardware. It could be a cross-gen game for the current and upcoming Project Helix console.

Fallout remaster could arrive first

According to the podcast, Bethesda seems to be preparing a remastered Fallout title for release in 2027.

This rumor surrounds Fallout 3 remaster and Fallout: New Vegas. The report suggests that one of the titles might launch next year.

This remaster is expected to be more ambitious than a traditional graphical upgrade. It could have a similar approach to the Oblivion remake, which features extensive visual improvements, gameplay refinements, and modernized systems.

This could be said as a remake rather than a remaster. There is no doubt that Bethesda is trying to capture the popularity of the Fallout TV Series by releasing the remaster soon.

Conclusion

As The Elder Scrolls 6 takes more time, the expectations from the fans and gamers are going to get to a whole other level. It would be very difficult for Bethesda to deliver on that many expectations.

We have a Summer Games Fest on June 5, 2026 and Xbox Games Showcase on June 7, 2026, where we might potentially see something from Bethesda.
