No more PS5 Friday night
On the first weekend of February 2025, fans and gamers experienced something truly disastrous. The PlayStation servers are down and many PS4 and PS5 users were unable to log in or play the game online.
Fans started to express their frustration on popular social media platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter), Reddit, Gaming forums and more. Letâs check out some crazy fansâ reactions in this article.
Fans reactions to PlayStation servers outage
Just like me, many other fans and gamers who have PS4 and PS5 are quite unhappy with the PlayStation servers going down on Friday. This issue started at 5:30 AM (IST) on February 8, 2025; and it is still ongoing.
Many fans expressed their frustration by taking it to social media:
Twitter user greenflames2K shared, âPOV: you work a 9 to 5 and come home just to see the PlayStation servers are down on a Friday.â This was funny and very relatable to many fans and gamers; even I can relate to this.

Another reaction which was quite funny was posted by Twitter user bgm_4real on X. He says, âMy wife wondering why I want to watch TV with her on Friday.â
At least his wife would be happy now that his husband is finally spending some time with her on weekends instead of playing games online and raging on kids.
@IbnAlDjazairi literally went shameless with his post, âPlaystation I Hope u gonna give us a free game.â
Well, this is quite fair as the servers are down for more than 6 hours and still are not back online properly. A free game from PlayStation will surely make up for this.
Twitter user 1lorrjoshh seems to be really raging right now at home as he expressed his anger with a meme, âMe when I catch PlayStation for ruining my Friday night plans.â
This one has to be my favorite. Twitter user AvatarMada posted, âEveryone when PlayStation network is down all day.â
This really meant that everyone should go outside to touch some grass and donât play video games every day.
For now, the PlayStation servers are still down and currently Sony is working on it. Hopefully, the servers will go online soon and fans will be able to get back online with their gaming session.
