For now, Ubisoft has yet to reveal more information about this project, but many reports and rumors have already suggested that the company is working on a new single-player Far Cry experience and a separate multiplayer project.

Far Cry 7 could be different

According to the insider, this game is expected to have extraction shooter mechanics, instead of the traditional open-world that fans expect from the series.

Players will fight against a dangerous cult known as the Sons of Truth. They also need to rescue six kidnapped family members.

Rumors indicated that the game would feature a controversial countdown timer of 72 hours in-game, which would keep players on their toes during the game’s entire campaign.
