Square Enix has officially revealed the final part, Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, at Summer Game Fest 2026. They have also confirmed that the game will release in Spring 2027.

Release window & platforms confirmed for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation
Along with a new story and gameplay trailer, it has also been confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will release in Spring 2027.
Unlike the previous games, this one will release simultaneously on:
- PS5
- Xbox Series X/S
- PC
- Nintendo Switch 2
This will mark the first time a major Final Fantasy 7 Remake title will launch on all major platforms at the same time.
New gameplay, story tease & more
The new trailer showed many familiar faces, including Cloud, Sephiroth, Tifa, Aerith, Barret, and other fan-favorite characters.
Fans also saw a glimpse of new enemies, new larger map, battles and many cinematic story moments.
One of the standout features from the trailer was the return of the iconic Highwind airship. This will allow players to explore the largest open world created for the Remake series.
Refined combat & exploration
According to the trailer and details, this last part will also feature a hybrid combat system, which is said to be perfected in the last part.

- Expanded character abilities
