Stephen Root officially confirms his GTA 6 casting
During an interview with AP News at the BAFTA TV Tea Party, Stephen confirmed his role and said that he is behind the character Brian Heder.
When he was asked about his role in Rockstar’s upcoming game, he simply answered:
“You’re gonna see me in there.”
Stephen also explained how fans have already figured out that he was the one behind Brian Heder when they heard the character’s voice in the trailer. Root said his voice was instantly recognizable because of his iconic roles of Bill Dauterive and Buck Strickland in the film, King of the Hill.
He also shared his excitement to be a part of the game:
“I’m so happy to be involved with it. It’s an amazing thing to look at.”
Who is Brian Heder in GTA 6?
According to Rockstar Games’ description, Brian is an experienced drug smuggler who operates in the Leonida Keys. Through the trailers and description, it appears that he serves as an important mentor figure to protagonist Jason Duval.
He has deep criminal connections across Leonida and is expected to guide Jason in the early part of the game’s story.
During the Extended Look reveal, we also saw his wife, Lori, and it hinted that we might get to see some meaningful family interaction in the game as well.
