Epic Games has officially revealed a new movie collaboration and fans now have a chance to get the Fortnite Odyssey skin for free. You don’t have to spend any V-Bucks, but you have to earn this skin in a limited-time tournament.
The movie will release on July 17, 2026, in theatres, and here’s everything you need to know about the Odysseus skin, tournament rewards and its shop release date.
How to get Fortnite Odyssey skin for free?
The only way you can get this skin for free is by participating in The Odyssey Cup. Just like the previous cosmetic tournaments, if you finish among the top competitors in your region, you will unlock this skin and cosmetics as a reward.
This tournament will run from July 15 to July 16, 2026, and it is available in both Battle Royale and Zero Build Solo playlists. There is also a separate Reload Mobile Cup for players who play on mobile devices.

Fortnite Odyssey Skin expected item shop release date
If you somehow miss the tournament or reward, you will still get another chance to get this skin in the game. However, it won’t be free.
Fortnite Odyssey Skin is expected to arrive in the Item Shop on July 17, 2026, which also coincides with the launch of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey movie.
