According to multiple reports on social media, forums and Reddit, an unencrypted build of the game was allegedly uploaded on Steam by mistake.
It allowed users to access nearly 155 GB of game files ahead of the official launch. Data miners and crackers are already exploring the leaked files, while some of them have even claimed to manage to play the game early.

The latest reports suggest that PlayGround Games might have mistakenly uploaded a pre-load build of Forza Horizon 6 on Steam without any proper encryption.
These leaked files allegedly contain thousands of game assets, which made it possible for the users to inspect the content of the game before the official launch.
Currently, these leaked files are heavily discussed on social media and forums, where many users have claimed that the build became accessible nearly 10 days before the release.
Many users are already sharing screenshots and gameplay footage online, which has further fueled the speculation surrounding the authenticity of the leak.
