NetEase’s FragPunk enters closed Beta stage on Xbox and PC: Know about their unique mechanics and esports potential

A new upcoming first-person shooting game, FragPunk made by NetEase and Bad Guitar has just announced that the closed beta phase will start on October 10. In the ongoing Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2024, they also showcase some of their heroes, their abilities and behind-the-scenes of the game development.

Closed Beta for FragPunk

According to FragPunk’s official website, the closed beta test will take place on October 10, 2024. It will be available on Steam and Xbox Series X|S. Here are the timings for the Closed Beta:

How to register for Closed Beta?

For Xbox, you will be recruited by the Xbox Insider Session. You can apply it from the Xbox Insider Hub App. On Steam, you can visit the FragPunk page, and then click “Request Access” under “Join FragPunk Playtest” to sign up.

What to Expect:

• 5 New Maps: 3 added to Shard Clash mode (6 available maps in total) and 2 maps to Team Deathmatch (3 available in total)
• 2 New Characters: Spider and Sonar join our growing roster of powerful lancers, which gives you 12 lancers in total to choose from
• 2 New Weapons: making a total of 17 available to heat up the battlefield
• 3 New Modes: Ranked Shard Clash, New Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Core (6 total modes)
