Genshin Impact's latest character: Varesa, the new Electro character

As always, Genshin Impact has extended its universe with the addition of yet another new character, Varesa who is from the enigmatic Collective of Plenty in Natlan.

The official announcement was made by HoYolab and official channels on social media. She will bring a unique blend of strength and serenity to the game. Let’s check out more details in this article.

She is an Electro character who is speculated to be a 5-star, who wields a catalyst. Her luchador persona is reflected in her Constellation, “Mascara Luctatori,” which translates to “masked wrestler.” She is officially known as a “Stalwart Warrior and Orchard Owner,” but she is also known as the “Masked Hero” in competitive eating and luchador circles. Her title, “Strength in Serenity,” emphasizes her dual nature.

Character Insights from Iansan

Iansan, another Natlan character, offers some insights about Varesa’s personality:

“My most unusual pupil, Varesa… nobody pulls off laid-back like she does. No matter where she goes, she acts like a little kid on a field trip — all she wants to do is try the local delicacies, then find a cozy spot to camp and sleep. But should you ever face the Abyss’s monsters alongside her, look out. Once she dons her mask, her rush tactics can be… somewhat aggressive.”

This suggests that she combines a relaxed demeanor with fierce combat capabilities, especially when her luchador mask is on.

This new character will become playable in the game in the upcoming 5.5 version which is slated for release on March 26, 2025. Iansan will also be introduced alongside Varesa in the new version as well. This will also take the fans and community into a deeper lore of the Natlan.
