Sucker Punch Studio is back with the new game

Sucker Punch Studio has finally announced their highly anticipated sequel, “Ghost of Yotei.” The game is scheduled to release next year and the story will focus on a female protagonist this time.

The game looks absolutely stunning in visuals and fans are excited to know more details about this game. Without wasting any more time, let’s check out the information on the new game in this article.

Ghost of Yotei takes place after 300 years

At the PlayStation State of Play presentation, Sony finally revealed the Ghost of Tsushima sequel, which will be yet another origin story. The fans will be getting a female protagonist named Atsu and her journey takes place in 1603. GOT takes place in 1274, so this event happens after more than 300 years.

This story will take place in Mount Yōtei, a towering peak in the heart of Ezo, an area of Japan known as Hokkaido in the present day.

For now, the Ghost of Yotei is scheduled to be released in 2025. We hope, that this game won’t get any delays in the future.

Why a new protagonist?

After the reveal of the new game and teaser, many fans have mixed reviews about this. So many have waited for a sequel, and many wanted the studio to continue Jin Sakai’s story. 

Sucker Punch Studio revealed on the PlayStation Blog that they wanted to create something similar to Ghost of Tsushima but completely fresh. They love the origin stories and they wanted to explore what it could mean to have a new hero wearing a ghost mask.

This was the reason that made them decide to go for a new story, a new protagonist and a completely new region. 

This will also be their first PS5 game and they are very thrilled to deliver a lovely tale for the fans. We can now patiently wait for the new updates, gameplay and more story reveals in the future.
