Johnny Ray Gill, best known for his part in Amazon’s crime thriller Cross, hinted about his involvement in Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) in a recent interview with YouTube’s Check It TV.

Johnny Ray Gill’s previous work with Rockstar

Johnny Ray Gill has previously collaborated with Rockstar as a voice actor in Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Although he hasn’t voiced any major characters, he has worked on various pedestrian characters.

In an interview on December 13, 2024, Gill shared his experience of working with Rockstar, describing it as “dope.” He then hinted at “another situation happening” within the GTA universe, scheduled for release in “2025-2026.” While this might suggest a slight delay, it’s essential to note that voice actors often aren’t privy to the exact release schedule.

Gill’s tease isn’t the only clue fans have about the GTA 6 cast. Manni Perez is widely believed to be voicing Lucia, one of the game’s characters. Additionally, Gregory Connors’ now-deleted online resume mentioned a lead role in a Rockstar game for 2025, fueling speculation about his involvement in GTA 6.

From Take-Two’s meeting, we already know that Rockstar is still on track for a fall 2025 release. However, the lack of a second trailer has become a concern for many fans. The Game Awards 2024 was the ideal stage to reveal a new trailer or updates, but Rockstar was absent from the event.

Following the GTA 6 leaks, Rockstar has become more tight-lipped, and the same condition now applies to voice actors. Although Gill couldn’t provide any further hints, fans may expect some new updates from Rockstar in 2025. Hopefully, it won’t be about any delays to the release schedule.
