Rockstar explains why GTA 6 may skip major theme park locations
This time, the game is going to take place in Leonida, which is Rockstar’s fictional version of Florida. There are many locations that are inspired by Miami’s coastal areas, swamps and rural regions.
Now, that state is also very famous for massive attractions like SeaWorld, Universal Studios and Disney Parks. Due to this, many fans were speculating that we might get a parody version of these locations in the game.
However, this might not happen. Speaking to IGN, Rockstar’s Senior Vice President of Environment Art, Paul MacPherson, has explained that the company needs to evaluate which locations are fit for the game’s best experience and provide value to the open world.
He said that Rockstar didn’t try to have all of the iconic Florida places, but rather all of the landscapes, towns, structures, and landmarks.
The exact real-life locations won’t be included in GTA 6, but Rockstar thinks that the variety of locations and the world design will evoke the overall atmosphere of Florida.
