Honkai Star Rail 3.4 pre load details, file size for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation & more

New content for the players is arriving soon

Gacha fans are pretty excited as Honkai Star Rail 3.4, which is dubbed as “For the Sun is Set to Die,” is set to launch on July 2, 2025.

This will bring new characters like Phainon and a Fate/UBW collaboration for fans. HoYoverse has already enabled the pre-load features for the fans to make things easier for everyone. Let’s find out more details in this article.

How to pre-load Honkai Star Rail 3.4?

Follow these steps on the platforms where you are playing the game:

Android/iOS

• Launch Honkai Star Rail from your mobile device.
• On the login screen, locate the Pre-Download Resource Icon in the bottom-right corner.
• Tap to see the storage requirements (~2.6 GB).
• Press the Confirm button to start downloading. To avoid data charges, connect via Wi-Fi and keep the app open during the process.

PlayStation

• Launch Honkai Star Rail on your PlayStation 5.
• If you have enough storage, the preload (~29.8 GB) will commence immediately.
• To avoid disruptions, ensure that you have 30 GB of free space.

PC

• If you have more than one game loaded, open the HoYoPlay launcher and select Honkai Star Rail.
• Find the Pre-Install Icon next to the “Start Game” button.
• When clicked, a pop-up window displays the size of the resource bundle (~5.8 GB).
• Press Download to begin preloading, making sure there is at least 30 GB of free space.

Honkai Star Rail 3.4 preload size details

The pre-load size for Honkai Star Rail 3.4 depends on the platforms. Let’s check them out:

• PC: 5.8 GB (reserve 30 GB for final installation)
• Android/iOS: 2.6 GB (reserve 12 GB for final installation)
• PlayStation: 29.8 GB (full patch installs during preload)

Another important thing to note is that the upcoming Fate/UBW collaboration content is going to require a separate download. This will start from July 8, 2025, so make sure to keep some free space for this.
