Guerrilla & NCSOFT partners up for this amazing open-world MMORPG

Out of nowhere, Guerrilla Games announced the all-new Horizon Steel Frontiers, an open-world MMORPG for mobile and PC, in collaboration with NCSOFT.

They dropped a full 10-minute gameplay trailer, where they showcased cinematics, pre-alpha footage of the gameplay and developers’ thoughts and vision about the game. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Horizon Steel Frontiers gameplay: Monster Hunter vibes in a Robotic wasteland

After watching this 10-minute gameplay trailer for Horizon Steel Frontiers, this is pretty much Monster Hunter, but with Robotic wasteland and machine-based monsters.

Horizon fans and players have always wanted an open-world game, and now they are finally getting it. There is character customization, which is absolutely amazing; you can choose different tribes for your player, etc.

The combat looks pretty similar to Monster Hunter but with a Horizon twist, but the best is their open-world Robotic wasteland and map, which is sick!

From the trailer, I even noticed the flying machine mount, which looks cool. You can group up with your friends or other players and hunt the giant machine monsters together. It is also a cross-platform game.

Final Thoughts

It is genuinely confusing to me why Sony and Guerrilla Games have not opted to bring this game to PS5. That is where the most Horizon playerbase and fans are.

PC is a very good choice, but I don’t think I want to play this game on a mobile device. This game seems such a huge project and enjoying it on console or PC is a much better choice. (My personal opinion)
