The makers of Genshin Impact, HoYoverse, just arrived with a big surprise during the Gamescom Opening Night Live event and presented the gameplay of their upcoming new game, Nodus Fall.

Nodus Fall gameplay features class based co-op
Based on the gameplay that HoYoverse showed during the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, the game fully emphasizes on teamwork and cooperative gameplay.
Players must work together to take down enormous giants and monsters using different classes and abilities.
It appears that each character will have its own unique combat role. In the trailer, we can see one character unleashes lightning-infused attacks, while other can revive the characters who died in the battle.
In the trailer, we can also see many different weapons like greatswords, normal swords, bows and more.
Hugely inspired by Monster Hunter
There is no doubt that HoYoverse have taken the inspiration straight from Capcom’s hit franchise, Monster Hunter.
However, they have added their own signature visual style, pretty looking characters, anime-inspired character designs and amazing environments.
The reveal suggests a massive, webbed world of exploration, difficult hunts, but hasn’t yet confirmed that it will be a full open world.
