It has been very quiet for Nintendo after they revealed the Switch 2 but now, the new rumors and leaks have finally started to resurface. It appears that fans might see a Nintendo Direct this week.

Surprise Nintendo Direct before the Switch 2 reveal?

While all eyes are on next week’s Switch 2 release, insiders suggest a bonus Direct for the current Switch as early as Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

The speculation began on Weibo, where a leaker with a proven track record from last June’s Direct released a cryptic hint. Two more sources—Famiboards’ ninspider (who nailed Switch 2 designs) and VGC’s Andy Robinson—nudged the excitement with winks and emoticons, implying something’s going on.

Now even, NateTheHate who is known as a great insider has also claimed that there is a Nintendo presentation this week. He believes that it will be around Thursday and it might be Nintendo Direct.

Hollow Knight: Silksong

Adding more rumors to the scene is none other than Hollow Knight: Silksong. Similar metadata changes last year went nowhere, but the timing has fans guessing. In a March blog post, Microsoft mentioned Silksong with 2025 games such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, while insider extas1s predicts it for June 2025, corresponding with a likely Switch 2 launch window.

Nintendo Direct rumors have already hyped the Switch 2 along with Hollow Knight: Silksong. Fans are expecting that Nintendo is ready to surprise the gaming community and its fans this week. Fans are also expecting that they might see some more game announcements for Switch 2 as well.
