InZOI: How to create a character from capture feature?

Step-by-Step guide to inZOI’s facial capture feature

The players will need an iPhone (iOS 16.0 or later) and a stable Wi-Fi connection for this feature as this isn’t available on Android. Here’s how to get started:

Step 1: Access Facial Capture in Character Studio

Launch InZOI on your PC and then head towards character studio mode. Now, look for the facial capture option. After clicking on it, a pop-up reminder will appear that will tell you that your iPhone and PC should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Step 2: Download the Live Link Face App

After confirming, click on next in the pop-up reveal that will reveal a QR code. Scan this code with your iPhone to launch the Live Link Face app from the App Store. Download and install the app, then launch it and grant permissions for camera and microphone access.

Step 3: Set Up the Capture Mode

In the app, you will see “Select Capture Mode” option. Now, choose Live Link (ARKit), which is apparently the first option and will help with real-time facial tracking. This option employs Apple’s ARKit to capture your expressions.

Step 4: Connect Your iPhone to inZOI

Next, connect your iPhone to your PC. In the Live Link Face app, tap Settings (top left), then Streaming, and finally Live Link. Then, tap Add Target to establish a connection.

You’ll need your PC’s IP address for this—the setup window in inZOI will provide it (search for a “Read” button or something similar). Copy this address and paste it into the app’s Target field, leaving the port number as is. Allow the app to locate devices on your local network if requested.

Step 5: Test the Connection and Start Capturing

Return to inZOI and select “Next” until you reach the “Choose a Device to Connect” screen. Your iPhone should be on the list (usually labeled simply as “iPhone” or your device name).

Select it to complete the connection. Once linked, zoom in on Zoi’s face in Character Studio to see your facial expressions reflected in real time.

Your Zoi will replicate whatever expression you make, from enormous grins to odd brow rises. It is important to note that this feature only tracks facial movements; other body movements will not be collected.
