Red Dead Redemption 2 is playable on iPhone 18 Pro via a compatibility tool
This gameplay demo was revealed by the developer who is working on Madeira, a Windows compatibility layer that allows PC games to run natively on iOS devices.
By using this tool, the game was made possible to run on the device at 720p resolution and also maintaining a frame rate above 30 fps.
Do remember that this game is not running through an official port and Rockstar Games has not announced any official port for this game on iOS.
This is a fan-made project, which demonstrates modern phone technology, hardware, processors and how modern iPhones are capable of running PC games with the right software.
At least the latest iPhone, the iPhone 13 Pro, is required for Madeira, but the performance will be much greater with the latest hardware and the iPhone 18 Pro is the best for testing more graphically intensive games.
Madeira can even run GTA 5
According to the developer, this tool can even run GTA 5 and Ultrkill. But both of these titles will require further optimization before they can deliver a smooth and polished gameplay experience on the phone.
This is not affiliated with Apple in any capacity and remains an independent effort & project. There are already some big AAA titles that you can play officially on iPad and iPhone, such as Resident Evil 4 Remake, Death Stranding, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
