Xbox shuts down GTA 6 cloud streaming rumors
Following the widespread report, XBOX has finally shut down this rumor. The CSO of XBOX, Matthew Ball, has explained that they are very happy with GTA VI and XBOX, but there are some misreporting that has happened recently.
The game will launch on XBOX Series X/S on November 19, 2026, but it won’t be available to stream exclusively on PC.
The original report further said that Xbox would also have playtime limits for those who use the cloud gaming service, depending on their Game Pass subscription level, and a pay-as-you-go service for buying extra stream time.
Here was the reported stream time:
- Game Pass Ultimate: 15 hours
- Game Pass Premium: 10 hours
- Game Pass Essential: 5 hours
Clearly, you can’t complete such a big game that might have more than 80+ hours to complete with this tiny amount of time. Microsoft also had a way around this, as they will let players purchase additional hours through a pay-as-you-go option on Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Conclusion
Players who were expecting GTA 6 on PC might have to wait a little longer. Rockstar Games still hasn’t announced anything about a PC version. However, it is expected that a PC version might arrive in 2027.
For now, only PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners will be able to enjoy the game on launch day, November 19, 2026. Are you excited for the GTA VI launch? Do share your thoughts and views with us in the comments section.
